Degan Ali Announced as the Nonprofit Leader of the Year Gold Winner for Anthem Awards.
Nairobi, Kenya — January 30, 2024 – Just announced today, Degan Ali, Adeos’s Executive Director, is a Gold Winner as Nonprofit Leader of the Year within the Humanitarian Action & Services in The 3rd Annual Anthem Awards. She was also selected for a Community Voice Award.
The Anthem Awards Nonprofit Leader of the Year is for an individual person who is an outstanding pioneer or innovator leading a team at a non-profit organization focused on behalf of the mission of their organization. Degan exemplifies this description. Through Degan’s leadership, Adeso has created a portfolio of solutions to create pathways for funders to shift agency and resources to those closest to the world’s challenges. Both in Somalia and at the global level, Adeso is creating a blueprint for disrupting the system for real change.
This year’s Anthem Award Winners were selected from a pool of over 2,000 submissions from 44 countries by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS). Anthem judges are intellectually diverse leaders from across the impact industry with expertise that spans across the Anthem cause areas.
