Across the Global South, local civil society organisations are delivering innovative solutions and driving meaningful change in their communities. Yet many remain underfunded, overlooked, and difficult for global funders to identify and support. Barriers such as limited visibility, complex donor requirements, and challenges in demonstrating impact often prevent local organisations from accessing the resources they need to scale their work.

Kuja was created to bridge this gap.

Developed by an African social enterprise, Kuja is built specifically for the realities, strengths, and opportunities of organisations across the Global South.
The word Kuja means “come” in Swahili, reflecting our vision of bringing organisations, funders, and changemakers together to strengthen locally led development.
